Veiny Beginnings
Lets begin at the end. I died on Bloomsday 2016.

Until now I have been somewhat suspended in a new quare state of being, that I am hesitant to call reality. I must tell you my friends that this day last week, the day known to many as Bloomsday, I, Charles De Selby, the black fluffy cat or at least I as I have come to know myself departed the place I once shared with many feline and human friends alike.
If I did not believe time to be a construct I would say this was most ironic timing as Flann O’Brien did of course organise the first Bloomsday celebration.
While the happenings of the last week are somewhat foggy I did pop back briefly to watch my devoted little humans bury my fluffy body under a willow tree with my mostly traumatised yet faithful, knitted mouse named Logos. She seemed to be missing a tail at the time of the descent; it would appear someone might have taken some Logos with them from the burial.
I did not go gentle into the accumulation of black air! I did rage... but I needn't have, time had no more use for my body and I never had body for time.
So let’s see, as our brains are already a spacial construct and we can only define consciousness within that construct I can only communicate my new experience to you within the constraints of our spacial thinking. I suppose the closest I can describe this to be is a new universe, one somewhat strangely overlapping with my previous one.
I am still trying to figure this out and at times it is confusing, at times I wonder am I here at all.
However, in my new universe there are lollipops shaped like my own *Anis, which is agreeable to me. And toes are forever bite-able with no consequences.
So stay tuned veiny chicks, the De Selby that began ‘The Veiny Crow’ is no more, We are in the wake of a new De Selby.
I'll be catching you up beyond the willow tree to see where souls go,
All my slow blinks,
Charles De selby
*Anis is a given name, meaning "genial" or "close friend". What closer friend is ones own Anis?
